Two weeks of football have passed and the Chargers are 1-1. Somewhat disappointing due to the week one loss against the Chiefs. That was a game that I thought the Chargers did not lose, but gave away instead. Does this mean the offense can't play in bad weather? Tough to say being it was only the first week of football. It was not impressive though, I can tell you that much. The beat down on the Jags have done little to rid me of my concerns especially without VJ on the field to stretch the defense. On the positive side, the defense looks better than I suspected it will & I am a firm believer that offense sells tickets, while defense wins championships.
Next week brings on a new upcoming team with the Seahawks. The Chargers just may have to play in bad weather again as the forecast shows that rain is likely. It would be a horrible thing for this team to be so talented and be unable to play in bad weather. I know that will bring down just about any teams game to a point, but the Chargers rely on a high octane offense & may not play there best football when it comes to grinding it out. I am not going to bring up the years of Norv Turner and the infamous slow starts. Each year is unique in itself. This year, the Chargers have a very easy schedule compared to most of the rest of the league. I just hope the Chargers come to play like they are in the playoffs every week instead of playing down to their opponent.
Prediction for the Chargers vs Seahawks game:Chargers 24 - Seahawks 17
